Piece of Cake Cards

If found this wonderful SVG online from Papers, Scissors, Ink for a Slice of Birthday Cake card and I just had to create a card or two from it!

I hope my girlfriends love them! They open and I have put personal greetings on the inside of them. They are for 2 girls in my book club (meeting is this Friday) so I found this just in time.

Very Simple and Easy to do, it was a Piece of Cake!

First Cricut Expression Card

Here is my first card made with the Cricut Expression.

Not Perfect by any means but Im proud of it. I apologize for the shadows, I scanned it in with my scanner, it looked better than taking a picture but it lost some of the glitter luster if you know what I mean.

For fun I did this one for the Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #12 GLITTERMANIA.

I used Make the Cut and created the card from scratch, from the MTC Gallery. I haven't figured out how to attach files here but when I do, I'll put the MTC file in this post.

I printed Make a wish on the paper before I cut it out with the Cricut.

The paper I've had for a while probably got from Michaels or AC Moore

The ribbon is Happy Birthday by Bobbin Ribbon

The flower is made from 2 Prima Calypso Tin flowers.

Hope you Enjoy!

Welcome to my blog of Cardmaking and scrapbooking and anything else creative that I feel like doing each day.

I started making cards last year and although I had fun with it I felt perpetually behind. This year I have decided to keep up and get ahead to give cards as gifts and not feel so crazy when card giving time comes up. I love it but I have a full time job and go to school at night so it's tough to do the "fun" stuff when the rest of it gets in the way.. yeah, boo on responsibilities.. but i do enjoy my job and even going to school so until I hit the lottery, priorities are just that.

To help me with my cardmaking, I got an amazing toy for my birthday last month: A Cricut Expression and Make the Cut software and I am ready to make some amazing projects.

I decided to start a blog for showing off these projects as I always forget to take a picture before I give one of my cards away. This blog should keep that from happening.

I'm excited to say that I am working on my first project using my new toys...

Here is a sneak peak:

Check back later for the finished project!
